1893 Schotsche Kloof aka The Farm
Erf 81
also known as Tamboerskloof farm is a retired ammunition magazine that was
built by the British military in 1891. Declared as a provincial heritage site
by the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA) the farm is located off
Military Road, at the foot of Signal hill, between Tamboerskloof and the
Bo-Kaap in Cape Town, South Africa. Surrounded by both the urban and natural
environment the farm is home to a diverse community, animal and plant
species.
The farm
has become a social and creative hub for many residents and artists from
different cultural backgrounds. The community’s objective is to create and
preserve natural spaces within urban zones. Create a healthy, inspiring, and
echo friendly living, with the focus on a sustainable model of farming within
the bustling urban environments such as Cape Town city.
There is a rumour of a secret Tunnel to the Castle of Good Hope. However, we
have found a secret trap door that leads into an Underground Vault. The larger
Bunkers are currently used by Artists which are known for their impressive
Arts.
